Food adventures

So a few things I'm absolutely nuts about:
1) taking pictures
2) music
3) food
all of which I somehow accomplished one way or another this weekend!

Saturday:
- Headed all the way to Devon Street to have super good and super cheap Indian Buffet - $7 all you can eat butter chicken! Boy was that satisfying.
- Took nice pictures along Oak St Beach near sunset.
- Stopped at the Apple store to oggle at the iPod photo and marveled at how Bose will sell their headphones for $300US (definitely not worth that kind of money!). I'd rather get their speaker set for the iPod instead ($200US).
- Had the best pad thai I've ever had at VTK... but also the priciest. $14 for a party in my mouth - it was worth it but it's not something I can do often.
- Annette, the admin assistant here, is in a band called Gel and she played a gig at Fado. So cool - admin assistant by day, rock star by night heehee It was a fun night :)

Sunday:
So I bought more groceries than I can eat in a week so I really have to try to cook at home this week. But first attempt at cooking in two weeks meant a king meal - New England Clam Chowder (ok - so it's canned soup but it doesn't mean it's not good!), oven-baked salmon and some vegetables. Mmmmm...
I think I really want to try my hand at making tiramisu from scratch... too bad I have none of those ingredients (brandy/cognac, marscapone cheese ($6 a tub!), ladyfingers (another $6!)) and I don't have one of those electric egg beaters either... maybe I'll make it a holiday project. Anyone want to sponsor my project? :D

Ooh... and I'm going to get to play tennis today... add that to my list!
