Thank you everyone for the phone calls, the emails, the ecards
You know you're getting old when happy-birthday songs are either missing or used to embarrass you
You know you're getting old when you get one big fat pink candle instead of the number of candles reflecting your age
You know you're getting old when you are no longer 19 or 20 or 21 or 22 but "mid-20s"
You know you're getting old when Bryan is turning 24 soon
You know you're getting old when you get tired more easily
You know you're getting old when flying the red-eye seems fairly normal
You know you're getting old when people at work think that's normal too
But what does it matter because my whole theory of relative aging works; I'll never have to act my age, because relatively speaking, I didn't get any older ;)
