"New words for old desires"
I've been having such a good music selection run in the last few days... it makes me happy.
Saturday, I splurged on 3 new CDs and that always inspires me to listen to something and transition into something I own.
So Saturday night and for most of Sunday, I was listening to my brand new Akufen CD; part of the Fabric London collection (it's Fabric 17)... minimal tech house is what they called it. I bought it after listening to it over the system in the store... it's not the first time I've done that :P
Then, Sunday transitions into Tahiti80 somehow... the sunny bittersweet French pop that I was somehow craving (I didn't buy Pieces of Sunshine - my purchases were getting too expensive). I pulled out Wallpaper for the Soul from my collection and ended up listening to it on Monday's walk to work.
Monday night I transition into Sondre Lerche - hoping to go to his show at the Double Door on Nov 3... no formal plans... I'm winging it and Ed is probably going to end up coming with me because he has nothing else to do (and he has no idea what he's getting himself into and I'm probably going to try and convince him to come with me anyway).
Sondre Lerche was exactly what I needed... until I wanted The Weakerthans and the night ended perfectly with "Left and Leaving" (my favourite song on that album)
Today's walk to work music is Jimmy Eat World's brand new Futures. I only listened to the first five tracks and I wish I could listen to it more now.
