Montreal and a day later

Reason for absence: Consultants' Conference in Montreal
Meh... I don't know who reads this so it's more like an outlet for me. Thanks for reading if you do. If you don't... well... I guess I'm just not interesting enough.
So my first day of work consisted of four hours of orientation and then flying to Montreal for a 3 day conference - not a bad deal if you ask me.
The best part was being able to see, not only everyone from my practice, Bobby and Jonathan and hang out like it were old times. The New York staff was as great as ever (Edward, James, Ann, Jenny, Jeremy, etc etc) and took good care of me (hopefully, James can get me to NYC and John can get me to Boston!) Basically, the conference consisted of seminars and schmoozing to no end and sleeping 5 hours a night to see the city (after everything closes) and talk to people. Not enough free time so sleep time was sacrificed. Needless to say, that's nothing new to me.

My return flight was excruciating. My flight was delayed by an hour and a half and it was on a Canadair Regional Jet. You thought the Big Yellow Taxi was a small plane? Well, this one was even smaller. When the turbulence hit, the plane didn't go up and down like most planes; it actually dipped sideways a bit. Kinda scary actually but it was all good. For the "disservice", they gave everyone a voucher for travel certificates. That was pretty nice; I've been in worse situations and didn't get offered anything. And I got to go home in a limo instead of a taxi :)

I'm tired so today was basically a rest day. I slept as much as I could and ran a bunch of errands. Got my library card, my ComEd utility fixed (at one of the most seedy Currency Exchanges I've ever seen - I was a bit nervous), wandered accidentally to Oak Street Beach (woohoo Lake Michigan!), went to Urban Outfitters (bought a tshirt and a notebook), went to Virgin (bought a book by Paul Arden and Franz Ferdinand CD), got my Jewel-Osco card so I saved a lot of money on my groceries, and cooked my own dinner while eating it through The Apprentice. A pretty full day, won't you say?
I've got lots of pictures and am just waiting to get to work to upload them slowly.

American Thanksgiving weekend, I'm debating on whether I'd go home (not terribly likely), San Jose/Mountainview ($427) or Vancouver ($530). Home is closest and the other two are almost the same distances away. Any suggestions?
