why isn't friday night = frinight?

because its already short enough

wednesday night is pretty long

maybe because wednesday night is still referred to as wednesday technically
Shaun:
and it would be confusing
Me:
when people refer to wednesday during the day, they can't just say wednesday
Shaun:
i think you need to take this up with whoever named all the days ending in "day"
